If you were a news reporter and you got some obviously fake news, would you report on it? Rachel Maddow would. According to Maddow, she was mailed some ‘NSA documents’ that detailed the Trump and Russia Collusion. She went on to say that the documents were fake. So why is she reporting on this? Why is someone sending her a fake document newsworthy?
Maybe she is so desperate for ratings that she needs to find some way to talk about Trump’s alleged Russia Collusion, even when she can admit it’s fake.
“Somebody, for some reason, appears to be shopping a fairly convincing fake NSA document that purports to directly implicate somebody from the Trump campaign in working with the Russians in their attack in the election,” said Maddow.
“This is news, because: why is someone shopping a forged document of this kind to news organizations covering the Trump-Russia affair?” she asked. Um, because they wanted to be on television or they wanted to hurt Trump? Seems pretty obvious.
She went on to talk about how she figured out the documents were fake. There were typo’s and the document said the name of an American citizen. “We believe that a U.S. citizen’s name would not appear in a document like this,” said Maddow. Check out the video below.
