Fox News viewers are still in a state of shock about the fact that they will no longer be able to watch iconic news host Bill O’Reilly at the 8 p.m. prime time Fox News time slot. The only silver lining in this situation is that beloved host Tucker Carlson was chosen to take over this time slot.
People have been wondering how Tucker’s show will change now that it is in Fox News’ single most coveted time slot. After all, Tucker had finally just settled in for taking over Megyn Kelly’s old time. The fearless Tucker has proven that he is unafraid to take on even the most controversial people on his show, as his first guest in O’Reilly’s former time slot clearly proves.
According to a report in entertainment trade publication Variety, Tucker’s first guest will by none other than polarizing former gold medal winning Olympian Caitlyn Jenner, the transgender activist who used to be known as Bruce Jenner.
Explained Carlson on The Five about his interest in speaking with Caitlyn, who voted for Donald Trump, “I’m interested in Caitlyn Jenner’s politics and what it must be like to be in that position. People coming at you from both sides. And so I want to have a conversation about it.”
Said Tucker when pressed on whether Jenner is a conservative or not, “That’s my understanding. I mean … this is the first interview we’ve done, so I don’t really know. But I’ve read that and I’m interested in it, and I’m also interested in the idea that people sort of wind up spokespeople for a cause or a group maybe against their will. And I don’t know if that’s the case here, but I’m going to try and find out.” What do you think of Tucker’s interview choice? is it bold, or is it a waste of time?
