Amy Schumer did a “comedy” special for Netflix and by all accounts it’s a stinker. In addition to terrible reviews from the critics, user ratings are in the dumps. Being a complete leftist lunatic, Schumer is not accepting the fact that she is unfunny and blaming President Trump, of all people, for her badly reviewed stand-up showcase.
First, check this out from Fox News:
Amy Schumer’s highly anticipated stand-up special for Netflix is getting overwhelmingly negative reviews from users who are tuning in and rating it.
“Amy Schumer: The Leather Special” hit Netflix last week, and as the streaming service’s subscribers are starting to watching it, less-than-stellar reviews have been pouring in.
The special has nearly 1,200 user reviews and an overall average rating of 1.5 stars.
1 star is the lowest possible rating, so averaging 1.5 starts with 1,200 ratings is pretty bad and shows a general consensus of awfulness. As Fox points out, it’s not just the users who thinks Schumer sucks, the critics do as well:
The LA Times’ reviewer said the special was too over-the-top when it came to the R-rated content Schumer is known for. “’The Leather Special’ not only relies on… explicit themes, but kicks it all up a notch so there’s more of it — with more frequency and extremities. And as it turns out, that’s not a good thing.”
Newsday’s TV critic gave a similar message, rating the special with a C grade, writing it’s “too much” and “too carnal.”
The Detroit News called the special “funny but predictable.”
Enter Amy Schumer. The comedian (and that’s debatable) thinks the “alt-right” and Donald Trump are behind a smear campaign. This is what she posted on Instagram:
“I am so proud of my special and grateful to all the people spreading love on line about it. I am the first female comic who is selling out arenas all over the world and so grateful for that. I am embarrassed for the “journalists” who report on trolls activities as if it’s news. It’s indicative of administration right now,” wrote Schumer.
Yes, you read that correctly. Schumer is saying that the Trump administration is behind journalists reporting that her Netflix special is being poorly received. And just in case you didn’t quite get what she was saying, she said it again:
“I am only alarmed by the people printing their organized trolling as “news” this is what the current administration wants,” Schumer wrote.
If at all possible, this gets crazier. Schumer then lays out a conspiracy theory that the alt-right coordinated this attack on her. Taken with her claim that this is what the Trump administration wants, she’s saying that the President of the United States has nothing better to do than get people to give her bad reviews. This of course doesn’t address the negative reviews from Trump-hating liberal sources like the LA Times and Newsday, but that’s just how conspiracy theories work; they are not supposed to make sense.
Schumer signs off by proclaiming herself the leader of the anti-Trump movement:
“Call me a whale. Call me a thief and I will continue to rise and fight and lead. I know who I am. I am strong and beautiful and will use my voice my whole time on this earth,” said Schumer.
With this level of paranoia and delusion, it’s hard to believe Amy Schumer hasn’t been involuntarily committed to a mental health institution. These are the rantings of a crazy person.
